Claire E. Thornton, 76, of Middletown, died on Sunday, January 9, 2005, at Garden Manor Retirement Village. She was born in Mt. Healthy, on March 7, 1928 to Alphons and Henrietta (Toerner) Wiesman.

Claire is survived by two daughters, Sandy (Greg) Agoston of Novi, MI, and Sue (Jerry) Mouch of Wyoming, OH; two sons, Rob E. Thornton of Middletown, and Tim R. Thornton of Hamilton; two sisters, Rita Murray and Mary Bedel, both of Cincinnati; 10 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Thornton in 1991; her parents; and two brothers, Tom & Bob Wiesman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, January 13, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Parish - St. John's Church with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be Thursday, prior to Mass from 9-10:30 AM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr. Interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Montgomery.
