Carl Michael Allbee, Jr. died peacefully at home in Nashville on August 21, 2021. He is reunited with his mother, Jane Allbee, grandparents, and his beloved friend, Herberta Grissom. Michael is survived by his father, Carl Allbee, Sr., stepmother, Mary Allbee, sister, Angela Mills (Chris), stepsisters Wendy Lucas (Robert) and Kristi Biggs (Robbie), stepbrother, Jeff Smithson (Jessica), and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Michael was a proud 1984 graduate of Father Ryan and enjoyed cheering on the Irish football and wrestling teams and attending his class reunions. He was an avid sci-fi fan, making friends through his love of Star Trek, Dr. Who, Star Wars, and, most of all, the superhero worlds of Marvel and DC. A people person and animal lover from day one, Michael enjoyed talking with friends and family and shamelessly spoiled his pets. His creativity was nurtured at the Lakewood Theatre Company. The highlight of his life was having one of his plays selected to be produced there. Most recently, Michael was excited about his new job at Amazon. Please join the Allbee, Mills, and Hamilton families in celebrating Michael's life: visitation on Monday, August 30 at 10am at Saint Ann Church, 5101 Charlotte Ave, Nashville, TN, with a funeral Mass to follow at 11am. In lieu of flowers, please donate in Michael's memory to Father Ryan High School at 770 Norwood Dr, Nashville, TN 37204 or fatherryan.org/memorials. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at harpethhills.com for the Allbee family.
