Funeral Service for Helen Reed (nee Gerber), age 95 will be 11:00 AM, Friday, September 3, 2021 at the Jakubs-Waite Funeral Home 36000 Lakeshore Blvd, Eastlake. Family will receive friends Thursday from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Helen was born on February 2, 1926 in Cleveland to the late Teofil "David" and Dora (nee Webel) Gerber and passed away on August 30, 2021. Helen and Robert were lovingly married for 66 years. They loved to dance ballroom and polka every week and enjoyed card parties. She was an avid gardener, very fashionable and an accomplished seamstress. Helen is the beloved wife of the late Robert C. Reed; loving mother of Janet Reed (Ron Blatnik), Robert Reed (Carolyn), Lynn, Thomas (Debra), Timothy, Kevin (deceased), James and Michael; cherished grandmother of Tracie, Kati, Jennifer, Christopher, Stefanie, Laura, Angela, Rebecca, Ryan, Michael, Daniel, Bryan, Veronica; and proud great grandmother of Jacob, Olivia, Lily, Maxwell, Emma, Kennedy, Annabel, Easton, Dresden, Tayler, Ryan, and Sophie. Interment will be in All Souls Cemetery. Donations may be made in Helen's name to Ohio Living Foundation, 9200 Worthington Road Suite 300 Westerville, Ohio 43082.
