Roy Davenport Lott was born in Lewisville, Denton County, Texas May 18, 1891 to Hardin Henry and Nancy Lott. He married Beulah Francis Harn Sept. 12, 1912 in Lewisville, Texas. To this Union they had six children, Roy Davenport Lott, Effie, Margaret, Helen, Dorothy and Bobbie Ray Lott.

Roy Davenport Lott, he was a tall, big man, with a wonderful smile, with crew cut hair, loved by all of his children and grandchildren.
He used to plant a garden every year behind their house in Altus, Oklahoma, and we would take his green onions and grandma's cold biscuits and eat them. Such wonderful memories, but the best memory is we came to their house all the time, we knew and loved Grandpa and Grandmother Lott. No words could describe the love they had for their children and grandchildren, I wish my children knew them, but my son was to young. So I write these words so that he will know that this was a close net family. We would have dinners at their house where all of my mother's brothers and sisters would come I can remember my cousin sitting a cherry bomb under grandmother's porch. I can remember the smell of the wonderful food they would have. Such Fond Memories of this Lott Family.
