She was born right before Hurricane Carla made landfall in Matagorda Island. Our parents always reminisced about taking Deborah back to her new home with no power.
Deborah loved the outdoors as she would going fishing and crabbing in Sargent, She would ride her mini bike and water ski during the day and then go fishing with anytime left in between. She loved watching old western movies with her brother in law and displaying her movie buff skills as she would know every person in the movie and what other movies they had been in. She admired all animals along with testing her knowledge doing word searches.
She graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1980, She worked at various jobs in the restaurant industry. One thing about Deborah was that she never met a stranger and would make friends with anybody that walked by.

One of her favorite things was volunteering at Sandy Creek Bible Camp as she would spend the whole entire summer helping out.
