Solomon married 1st wife Miranda Douglas in Sumter, GA in 1849 and had a daughter named Sarah born May 1850.

Solomon married 2nd wife Margaret Mozell 'Maggie' Greene Powell on 17 Sep 1861. Her son Luther's death certificate states his mothers maiden name was "Greene".

Enlisted for 12 months in Capt. Cone's Company, 1st Regiment Florida Cavalry on Nov 14, 1861 at White Springs FL and was discharged on May 7, 1962 from Camp Mary David 6 miles south of Tallahassee, Florida because of "Chronic Pneumonia and great physical debility"

Solomon B. Cribbs, Dead
Solomon B. Cribbs, one among the oldest citizens of the county, died on Sunday evening last at the home of Asa Geiger, of heart failure. Mr. Cribbs was an old Confederate soldier and has gone to met his comrades on the other shore. He was a brave soldier, a good citizen and an honest man. He leaves one son and three daughters to mourn his departure. His remains were laid away in Hebron Church cemetery on Tues evening in the presence of a large concourse of sorrowing relatives and friends.
