Mrs. Ruth Meadows, Violet Skoronski, Ethel Horan and Ruby Jolley and daughter, Bertie, have returned from a visit in Durand, Mich., with their sister, Mrs. Irene Cole. While there, they were guests at a pink a blue shower given by Mrs. Mary Powell in honor of Mrs. Cole.

MRS. CURTIS D. COLE
Funeral services for Mrs. Lillian (Irene) Cole, 57, 194 Russell street, Durand, Mich., formerly of Valparaiso and widow of Curtis D. Cole, will be held this Saturday at the Bellows Funeral home in Durand, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Dudley Mosure officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery, Vernon, Mich.
Mrs. Cole died Dec. 16 in Community hospital in Durand after being a patient for the past 10 days. She had been ill for the last seven months.
A resident of Durand for the past 30 years, she moved there from Valparaiso.
Born in Valparaiso, March 25, 1908, Mrs. Cole was the daughter of George and Abby Kyes.
Her husband preceded her in death Nov. 5, 1953.
Survivors are two sons, Danny K. Cole and Donald H. Cole, both of Durand; five sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Brown and Mrs. Ethel Horan, both of Valparaiso, Violet Covert and Mrs. Ruby Small of Kouts, and Mrs. Ruth Dillner of Monticello, Ind.; two brothers, Gordie Kyes of Gary and Ralph Kyes of Valparaiso; and five stepchildren.
