Mrs. Emma Wester, 82, Baumgartner District, Stambaugh Township, died after a lengthy illness on Tuesday, December 27 at Iron County General Hospital.
Mrs. Wester was born November 7, 1895 in Stambaugh Township where she was reared. She married Mannie Wester June 16, 1917, and he preceded her in death in September of 1974. They lived in the Baumgartner District for over 50 years and celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1967. She was a member of the Grace Covenant Women's group.
Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Nora Wester, Stambaugh Township, Mrs. Elvera Isaacson, Indian Harbor Beach, FL, and Mrs. Fred (Elida) Johnson, Camp Lake; a brother William Lindblom, Lombard, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were on Friday, December 30 at 1:30 p.m. at Grace Covenant Church with the Rev. Douglas Cedarleaf, pastor, officiating.
Interment was in Stambaugh Cemetery.
