Technical Sergt. Paul Blume was killed in a bomber crash at Clovis, New Mexico last night.

His parents, M. and Ms. H. E. Blume, 816 Madison street today were officially informed of the tragedy which occurred near the edge of the flying field at 9:17 last night.

He was radio operator on the Liberator bomber and the accident occurred during a routine flight. The parents were informed over the long distance telephone by the commanding officer of the field. The ship was returning from the flight when the crash occurred. All members of the crew, the officer said, were killed.

The 23 year old soldier was to have arrived home last night for a furlough but for some unstated reason it was cancelled and he wired his parents that he would be home two weeks later.

April 15 he was to have married Miss Vivian Harris, stenographer in the law office of Sam W. James.

Young Blume was born here June 31 [sic], 1920, and was educated in St. Peter's School. After his graduation he was employed at Penny's store for several years. He enlisted in the army air corps about a year ago.

He was here on Thanksgiving day for his first and last furlough.

Surviving besides his parents are two brothers, Herbert F., in the Field Artillery in California, Anthony in Camp Campbell, Ky. There are two sisters, Miss Mary at home and Mrs. Gerald McKinney, San Antonio, Texas.

The body will be brought here for burial but the hour of arrival had not been ascertained late today.
