Mrs. F. Volkmer Dies Here Sunday

Mrs. Frances Volkmer, 78, died at her home. 805 Jackson street, here Sunday morning. She had been ill since suffering a heart attack in 1944.

Born June 8, 1870. at Martinsburg, Germany. She came to this country when she was 19. She has resided here since that time.

She married Frank Volkmer Jan. 4, 1891. He preceded her in death, dying July 13, 1924.
A member of St. Peter's Catholic church, she belonged to the Sacred Heart League and the Married Ladies Altar Society.

She is survived by nine children, 21 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She has several brothers and sisters still in Germany.

Her surviving children are: Mrs. Herbert Trippensee, Mrs. Vic Schulte, Mrs. Eugene Weigic, Leo F. and Alfred A., all of Jefferson City, Mrs. Jack Wallace, Kansas City, Mrs. Jean Rose Tucker. Omaha, and Frank E. of Mexico.
