PEKIN _ Barbara M. Innis, 85, of Pekin, IL, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at her home.
She was born in Washington, IL, on December 20, 1935, the daughter of Francis and Mildred Miller Geason.
Barbara married the love of her life, Thomas J. Innis in Morton, IL, on May 31, 1958. He preceded her in death April 1, 2008. Her parents; two brothers, Richard Geason, Michael Geason; sister, Mary Parker and granddaughter, Hanna Innis, also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children, Jim (Kim) Innis, Dale (Dixie ), Mary Innis, John (Julie) Innis, Carol Burke, Rebecca (John) Kurilko and Robert Innis. She also leaves behind her many grandchildren and siblings, Patricia (Richard) Hautala, Marlene (Jim) Clark, Sue Houle and Martha (Donald) Hays and brother-in-law, Bill Parker.
Barbara's greatest joy was spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
Barbara was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin, where a funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior on Saturday, September 11, 2021. Father Michael Andrejek will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Pekin.
Memorials may be made in her name to St. Joseph Catholic Church or the Alzheimer's Association (Team Innis Walk to End Alzheimer's Central Illinois).
The family has entrusted Abts Mortuary in Pekin with arrangements.
