Alvin Lester Lightfoot, age 92, passed away surrounded by loving family in Cottonwood. He was born in Bosworth, MO to Levi Lightfoot and Gineiva Bell Lightfoot. He married Neoma Pauline Gilmer on March 23, 1935. Alvin was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved woodworking. He devoted his life to his family.

He retired from Armco Steel as a superintendent in 1968. He was respected by everyone he met through-out his lifetime. He is survived by: daughter, Juanita L Young and son, Paul E. Lightfoot. He was well loved and known as "Grandpie" to his surviving six grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: his beloved wife, Neoma Pauline Lightfoot; and daughter, Norma Jean Baker.

Funeral services will be held at Mountain View Memorial Estates Mortuary, 3115 E. 7800 S., Cottonwood Heights, Utah, Monday, December 3, 2007 at 11 a.m. Friends and family may pay their respects at the mortuary Sunday, Dec. 2, from 6-8 p.m. and one half hour prior to services on Monday.
Interment will be at Mountain View Memorial Estates.
