Clydia Combs, widow of Lloyd Calvin Combs since March 22, 2021, joined her husband in eternal rest on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at Dover Manor in Georgetown. Clydia was born on August 13, 1932, in Smilax, Leslie County, Kentucky to the late Taylor and Minerva Day Lewis. She was a beautician by trade and a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church, as well as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Clydia leaves two daughters to cherish her memories, Jeanie Farmer, husband David, and Cynthia Crowe, and several grandchildren. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Christine Cotter. Her family will honor her with a Graveside Remembrance Service at 2:30 PM Monday, September 13, 2021 at Camp Nelson National Cemetery, following which she will be laid to rest with her husband Lloyd. Serving as pallbearers will be James Farmer, David Farmer, Kayne Garrett, Jaydan Garrett, James Lucas, and Craig Morgan. Clydia's family will greet friends before the service from 1:00-2:00 PM at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home in Nicholasville. There will also be a gathering of family and friends at Cornerstone Baptist Church (1465 Keene Rd., Nicholasville) following the interment at Camp Nelson. "You'll never forget your mother's face, the stories she told, the lessons she taught, the things she stood for . . . They are her gift and your legacy." Hager & Cundiff values nothing more than the trust and loyalty given to us to care for Clydia and her family.
