"D. Katherine Adams, 85, died at 2 a.m. Feb. 21, 1995, at County Care Nursing Center, Williamsport, where she had been a resident since October 1993. She was born near Judyville, Sept. 12, 1909, the daughter of Charles and Edna Hosterman Hetrick. She married Feb. 12, 1927 in Lafayette, to John C. Adams, a school bus driver and laborer for Warren County Highway Department. He preceded in death in 1979.

She had been a resident of Warren County all her life and in Rainsville for more than 50 years.
She was a custodian for many years at the Rainsville School and also the Pine Creek United Methodist Camp. She was a member of the Rainsville Community Church. She was also a member of the former Rebeccah Lodge at Rainsville.

Surviving, are: two daughters, Doris Ransom, Route 4, Attica; Sharon (Mike) Short, Pine Village; also a niece who was raised in her home, Mary Ann (Darrell) Reynolds, West Lebanon; four sisters, Ruby Drew and Barbara Stoker, both of Deshler, Ohio; Annabelle Foster and Pearl Williams, both of Oxford; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today (Friday) at Fisher Funeral Home, Williamsport, with the Rev. Randy Rhode officiating. Burial was in Rainsville Cemetery." – Fountain County Neighbor, February 24, 1995
