Mildred Elizabeth Lacey Wilson, 84, Piney Flats, passed
away Tuesday, January 17, 2012, in the Johnson City
Medical Center, Johnson City, Washington Co TN.

A native of Carter Co TN, she was a daughter of the late
Frank Wiles and Callie Belle Blevins Lacey. She was a 1945
graduate of Cloudland High School, Roan Mountain. Mrs.
Wilson worked at United Telephone Company, Elizabethton,
and later transferred to the Johnson City office and
retired there after thirty seven years of service.

Mrs. Wilson was a member of the Communication Workers of
America. She was a member of the Mountain View Baptist
Church, Johnson City. Her hobbies were working in her
flowers, antique Furniture and her animals.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a
brother, Lonnie Lester Lacy.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, James Clayton
Wilson; two step-sons, Larry Wilson, Bristol, and Rev.
James D. Wilson, Atlanta, GA; three step-daughters,
Martha V. Feathers, Bristol, Mary Jo Melvin, Gray, TN, and
Bernice Carrier, Piney Flats, TN; ten step-grandchildren;
and several great and great great grandchildren; one
nephew, Richard Lacy and his wife Geri, Hampton, TN; one
niece, Erma Hyers, Elizabethton, TN; and several cousins.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.,
Friday, in the funeral home. Friends may also call at the
residence. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral
home at 9:15 a.m., Saturday, to go to the cemetery.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m., Friday,
January 20, 2012. in Memorial Funeral Chapel, with Rev.
Buddy Street, Rev. James Cameron, and Rev. William Hyers
officiating.

Graveside Service and Interment will be at 10 a.m.,
Saturday, January 21, 2012, in the New Bethel Cemetery,
Piney Flats. Active Pallbearers, who are requested to
assemble at the funeral home at 9:15 a.m., Saturday, will
be, Eric Hughes, Paul Cornstock, Darrell Lacy, and Darren
Lacy. Honorary Pallbearers will be, Les Roberson, Mike
Ingram, Clarence Richard Ingram, Richard Lacy II, Wayne
Lacy, Jody and Malcom Smith, and Wilma Blackston.
