Sherman graduated from Burlington High School in 1977. He worked as a baker and delivery man for Fassetts Bakery. Sherman also worked as a truck driver for 35 years. He last worked for Reagle Services of Ripley, N.Y., and worked part time at Value Home in Lakewood, N.Y.
Sherman was an avid NASCAR fan. He often drove and raced at Catamount Race Track in Vermont. He was also involved in BMX bike racing for area children. Sherman was a former member of the Sinclairville Fire Department.
Sherman is survived by his loving wife, Jean whom he married Nov, 25, 2006; his children: Robert (Alexandra) Eaton of Tonawanda, N.Y., Sherman (Melissa) Sweeney of Kennedy, N.Y., and Charles (Carol) Sweeney of Falconer, N.Y.; his seven grandchildren; his seven great-grandchildren; and his five siblings.
A Graveside service will be held Thursday, Sept. 9, 2021 at 1 p.m., at Ever-green Cemetery, Sinclairville, N.Y.
