She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Loran Roden. She is survived by her loving husband, Michael R. Thornton; son, Charles "Chuck" Moores; grandson, Eli Moores; sister Charlotte Roden Payne Rainwater (Douglas); sister-in-law, Peggy Roden, her nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. She leaves behind her special pet, Max.
She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Hendersonville and member of the choir.
A Celebration of Life graveside service will be announced.
