Virginia Marie Brinkmann, age 94, of Jefferson City, Mo. died Monday, September 13, 2021 at the Capital Region Medical Center.

She was born April 20, 1927 in Franklin County, Missouri, the daughter and only child of Adolph H. and Amanda S. (Weeke) Brune.

Virginia spent her early years in Franklin County, graduating from Washington High School in 1945. In 1948, she married Charles E. Brinkmann and they resided in Rolla, St. Louis and Moberly before moving to Jefferson City. They later divorced.

She worked for the Washington, Missouri school district, the Rolla School of Mines, McDonnell-Douglas and First United Methodist Church of Jefferson City.

Virginia enjoyed bowling, card playing with friends and playing the piano. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church and a member of PEO. She volunteered her time for many organizations, most recently at Capital Region Medical Center through their Partners Program.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sons-in-law.

Services were held at First United Methodist Church on Saturday, September 25, 2021, with the Reverend Trevor Dancer officiating.
