Mrs. Wood, a daughter of James K. and Elizabeth Bayard Adamson, was born near Rogersville, July 19, 1877, and spent most of her life in that vicinity, where she taught school for some time. On dec. 11, 1901, she was united in marriage with Corydon F. Wood, who survives.
The marriage was a most happy one and three children were born to this union: Kathleen, who is teaching in the Margaret Brent High School, near Washington, D. C.; Duane M., principal of the Aleppo High School, and Alice, wife of Ralph C. Stockdale, at home. Also surviving are one brother, Albert B. Adamson, of Pittsburgh; one nephew, James Helphenstine, of Waynesburg; one niece, Lenore Hurley, of Baltimore, Md., and two grandsons, Hally and James Wood, of Aleppo.
