Adeebeh was born on May 26, 1942, in Golan Heights, Syria. She was proud to co-own a retail store with her husband, Yessar Arafat for over 30 years. This enabled her to build beautiful relationships with so many in the Lafayette community, especially cancer patients. Her faith was an exemplary model to her family and friends. Adeebeh was an avid homemaker, business manager and chef. Together they enjoyed hosting family, friends and anyone else in need.

All who knew Adeebeh loved her contagious laughter and gentle spirit. Above all, family meant the world to her; she leaves a legacy of love and will be deeply missed. Adeebeh will forever be a true gem in the eyes of her family.

Adeebeh is survived by two sons, Samer Arafat and his wife Khawla, of Lafayette, LA and Maher Arafat, of Dallas, TX; two daughters, Reem Arafat Alferahin and Rana Arafat Samanie and her husband Brian, both of Dallas, TX; her only sister, Firyal Jaalouk, of Damascus, Syria; seven grandchildren, Ameen Sharairi, Noorhan Arafat, Eman Arafat, Laith Alferahin, Aseel Arafat, Zahra Alferahin and Adam Alferahin as well as numerous dear nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of nearly 59 years, Yessar Arafat and her parents, Shaaban Saleem Haj Nughai and Khairkhan Ayoub Abaza.

The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff of Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center for the compassionate care given to Adeebeh and her family.
