Mr. McKechan, whose wife, Susan, preceded him in death in 1949, was a native of Scotland.
He is survived by a son, Robert; three daughters, Mrs. Anne Easton, Mrs. Agnes Knopp, and Mrs. Susan Barnabe; and a brother, William, all of Gillespie. Another daughter, Mrs. Janet Quinn, of Detroit, Mich, also survives.
Services were held at his residence.
Burial was in Gillespie City Cemetery.
