On August 17, 1946, Mary married Charles L. Tribbey in Peoria, and together they cherished 51 years until his passing on September 30, 1997.
Mary was a devout Catholic and a proud St. Bernard parishioner.
Mary graduated from Brown's Business College and enjoyed a long 25 year career as a Certified Public Secretary with Peoria School District 150. After retirement, she volunteered for over 25 years at the OSF Gift Shop and as a Eucharistic Minister at OSF Hospital.
Survivors include two sons, Dr. Charles L. (Kathryn) Tribbey of San Luis Obispo, CA., and Mark A. Tribbey of Peoria; two grandchildren, Leah (Josh Hobson) Tribbey and Adam Tribbey; step granddaughter, Susan Reid; and three great-grandsons.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles ;and one brother, Robert Turner.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 from 5:00PM to 7:00 PM at Wright & Salmon Mortuary in Peoria. A recitation of the rosary will take place at 7:00 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at 1:00 PM at St. Bernard Catholic Church with an additional visitation being held 30 minutes prior to mass. Entombment will follow in Resurrection Mausoleum.
Current Covid-19 measures will be taken and the family asks everyone to please wear a mask.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mary's memory may be made to St. Bernard Catholic Church.
