WORCESTER-Virginia Allen, 94, of 1183 Main Street, formerly of 8 John Street, Westborough, died Sunday, July 3rd in the Washburn House. She leaves a brother Lucian T. Allen of Rockport, ME, a sister Jeanette Allen Adams of Westborough, many nephews and nieces.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of Professor Charles M. Allen and Eva (Taylor) Allen, graduated from North High School, attended Wheaton College and graduated from Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School. Ms. Allen had been employed as a secretary for two presidents at Worcester Polytechnic Institute for many years until she retired. She enjoyed wood carving and enameling. The family wishes to thank the Washburn House for the care extended to Ms. Allen during the past 4 ½ years.
Ms. Allen has graciously donated her body to the Harvard Medical School's Anatomical Gift Program. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Maple Grove Cemetery, Walpole.
