Upon receipt of the message, Mr. and Mrs. J.P. Morrison, in company with Mrs. Clarence Bornhorst of Des Moines, and Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Morrison of McPherson, left for California.

Tribute (also from the Delphos paper)
Louella Parsons' column in the Los Angeles Times for Thursday, October 14, contained the following item pertaining to the death of Nellie Morrison Stone.

"One of those human interest stories that happens occasionally in Hollywood was brought to our attention today. Milburn Stone, cousin of Paula and nephew of Fred Stone, has been trying to get into the movies for months. Several weeks ago he was signed by Scotty Dunlap to play the male lead in Monogram's ‘Federal Bullets', and after a look at the first rushes, Dunlap signed him pronto on a two-year contract. Just when things were looking brightest for Stone, his young wife, who struggled with him during their lean years, died of a heart attack without a moment's warning."
