Harry William Anderson, 85, of Modesto, a retired glass worker, died yesterday in a Riverbank convalescent hospital after an extended illness.

A native of Scottdale, Pa., he had been a resident of Modesto 11 years. His career with Libby-Owens-Ford of Toledo, Ohio spanned 60 years.

Survivors are a son, Cecil A. Anderson of Modesto; two brothers in West Virginia; eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

A service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Lakewood Memorial Park.
