Jon was the youngest of four children born to Alan and Barbara (Turrell) Jasper. He graduated from Kennebunk High School in 1981 and attended Boston University and the University of Southern Maine. He was employed as a software analyst for Bottomline Technologies in Portsmouth, N.H.

Jon enjoyed collecting retro kitchen appliances from the 1950s and '60s was an active and popular member of the online club, WACEM ("We Actually Collect Electric Mixers"), which connected other collectors with the same interests. He also enjoyed his 1972 Cadillac.

Jon, who died peacefully at Gosnell Memorial Hospice in Scarborough, Maine after a long and courageous battle with brain cancer, was predeceased by his father Joseph Alan Jasper and his sister Penelope Jasper. Among those left to mourn his loss and remember his cheerful, outgoing personality, sharp mind, and indefatigable sense of humor were his mother, sister, brother and sister-in-law, the love of his life, Lisa, and his many adoring friends.
