Gordon Key Belcher, 68, of Centertown, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City.

He was born on June 9, 1953, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the son of the late Augustus Levi Belcher and Merle Elizabeth Key Belcher.

Gordon and his wife, Marilyn, who survives him, were married on March 16, 1991, in Independence, Missouri.

A 1971 graduate of Hickman High School in Columbia, he graduated from Crowder College in Neosho, Missouri, in December, 1984, with an Associate's Degree in Applied Science.

He served with the United States Coast Guard from 1975 to 1979 as a Machinery Technician, Third Class, last serving with the Marine Safety Unit in Paducah, Kentucky.

Gordon was employed for many years in the Water Protection Program of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.
A federally licensed Amateur Radio operator holding the General Class call sign of KE-zero-CQV, Mr. Belcher was a member of the Mid-MO Amateur Radio Club; American Radio Relay League; Cole County ARES (Amateur Radio Emergency Service); Cole County Sheriff's Posse; and the United Sportsmen's Club where he enjoyed participating in Thursday Night Thunder sessions.

Gordon was a Christian and a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

He was well-known as a videographer for conferences, MMA Fights, church events, and several Russellville High School graduations.

Gordon was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend who dearly loved his family and grandchildren.
Other survivors include one son, Jeremiah (Eileen) Belcher, Pacific, Missouri; three grandchildren, Joseph Lee Belcher, Thomas Micaiah Belcher, and Miah Eileen Belcher; and two sisters, Sharen Wixom, Savannah, Georgia; and Jan (Robert) Sudholt, Springfield, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by one brother, John Mark Belcher.

Visitation will be 9:30-11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 29th, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home in Jefferson City.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, 3210 N. Ten Mile Drive, Jefferson City, MO 65109. The Reverends Dennis Maxwell and Mark Kiekhaefer will officiate.

Private Family burial with military funeral honors will be in Columbia City Cemetery.
