Wife of Bill Vukovich Sr., winner of the Indianapolis 500 in 1953 and 1954. Tall and attractive, her husband to be was initially too shy to ask her for a date and had one of his sisters arrange it. She tragically lost her husband during the running of the 1955 Indianapolis 500. Her son Bill Jr., and grandson, Billy III, later both became Rookie-of-the-Year at Indianapolis in 1968 and 1988 respectively. She died 5 days after the 65th anniversary of her husband's birth.
