Born to Howard William Nelson and Mattie Lucille Ford.

Preceded in death by her husband Robert Walker, her parents, her sister Mary Frances Nelson, and her brother William Gordon Nelson.

Margaret Louise Walker, age 83, of Ardmore, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, September 23, 2021. She was born July 1, 1938 in Tarrant, Alabama.

Mar-lou was a victim of COVID, which she likely contracted from her previously infected middle son or one of his children who, rather than respecting quarantine protocols, reportedly visited her immediately after they were asymptomatic. The informant, who also contracted COVID related to the ill-advised visit, said, "They were all over her".

Ironically, Mar-lou's impending death was kept secret from most of her progeny until the children of the secret keepers told us. And those who recovered from COVID left her to die in the hospital, rather than respect her wishes to die at home. By the time the rest of us were informed by the secret keepers' children and began to establish a protocol for getting her home, Mar-lou was in her last moments.

We gave Mar-lou time, and we gave her space, and we loved her the best we could; but her responses often left us wondering what happened to her, and why she reacted the ways she did.

May Mar-lou rest in peace in the gracious presence of Yahweh.
