Virgil Keith Winkler, age 67, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at his home in Clinton, Missouri. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 28th, 2021 at the Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton with visitation from 1:00 - 2:00 PM prior to the service. Burial will follow in Englewood Cemetery. Virgil "Keith" Winkler was born on September 22, 1954, the youngest of 6 kids to Virgil and Mary Ellen Winkler in Clinton, Missouri. Keith was a lifelong farmer; he was also an avid bowler and loved hunting and fishing. Keith was known for being a loving dad, grandpa, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his son, Kevin Goucher (Alisa) of Warsaw, Missouri; his two grandkids Virgil Goucher and Zolan Goucher; 2 brothers and 1 sister, Alvin Winkler (Pam) of Clinton, Missouri, Larry Winkler (Linda) of Winston, Georgia, and Rebecca Larson (Roger) of Olathe, Kansas; his nieces, Autumn Winkler, Melinda Burk and Sara Hagen in Florida; his nephews, Eric Doll, Derick Doll, David Howard and Timothy Winkler; also surviving is 10 great nieces and nephews and numerous friends and family. He is preceded in death by his companion of 16 years, Beverley Kuehn; his parents and stepfather, Harold Brown; his grandparents, Ed and Nannie Pfister and Ollie Hodges and Harry Winkler; his twin sisters, Nancy and Patsy Winkler, and his nephew John Paul Bivens.
