Bernice M. Miller, age 83, a Manitowoc resident, passed away unexpectedly at her home Friday, September 24, 2021.

She was born July 7, 1938 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Clarence and Mary (Brull) Granger. Bernice attended Lincoln High School, graduating with the class of 1956. On September 3, 1960 she married Milan Miller at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on January 6, 2009. She was employed as a bookkeeper at Jochem's Auto Parts, Manitowoc, for 40 years, retiring in 2014. Bernice also worked as a tour bus operator "Bees Bus" for 19 years. She loved the annual neighborhood rummage sales, as well as cleaning, exercising at the Wellness Center, and lawn care around her home. She also enjoyed traveling with her high school friends. Bernice volunteered at St. Vincent De Paul and the Wellness Center. Above all, she loved her family and was her grandchildren's #1 fan who enjoyed attending their many activities.

Bernice is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Mary & Dan Sonnenberg, Manitowoc, and Linda & John Martinez, Manitowoc; one son and daughter-in-law: Jeff & Stephanie Miller, DeForest, WI; Seven grandchildren: Anna Sonnenberg, Miles (Sydney) Sonnenberg, Marcus Sonnenberg, Jacob and Carlee Martinez, and Amber and Emily Miller; one great-granddaughter: Parker Jean Sonnenberg; three sisters: Joretta Granger, Shirley (Mel) Ouradnik, and Sue (Daryl) Nohr; one sister-in-law: Jutta Granger; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Norbert (Audrey) Miller, Barbara (Ken) Oswald, Vicki (Donald) Schmidt, and Barb Miller. She is further survived by her two cats: Blaze and Vegas; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Clarence and Mary Granger; her husband: Milan Miller; four brothers: Charles Granger, Richard Granger, Clarence (Darlene) Granger Jr., and John Granger; one brother-in-law: Bruce Miller; one niece: Jennifer Granger; and two nephews: David Schmidt and Chuck Granger.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand, 1416 Grand Avenue, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. George Daniel. Following the service, Bernice will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand, Manitowoc.
