Visitation is Friday for Ernesto "Ernie" Aguilar, a lifetime resident of San Pedro. Born Dec. 11, 1931, in San Pedro, he died Aug. 15, 1995. Mr. Aguiar, who retired from McDonnell Douglas after 37 years, was a member of San Pedro's Barton Hill Cougars and was in the Air Force from 1951 to 1955. He is survived by his wife, Nikki; a son, David; four daughters, Pauline Aldrete, Monica Mason, and Renee and Rebecca; a brother, Hank; three sisters, Delfina Rivera, Rufina Parra, and Lupe Silvas; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation is from 1 to 8 p.m. at McNerney's Mortuary, San Pedro. Funeral Mass will be offered at 9 a.m. Saturday at Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church in San Pedro. Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery, Long Beach. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Aguilar Family, c/o McNerney's Mortuary, 570 W. Fifth St., San Pedro, CA 90731.
