She was born in Napoleon, Ohio to Ralph and Aetna A. Brant Fox. She married James D. Trees. He preceded her in death in February 1999.

She was a 1930 graduate of Michigantown High School and a lifelong Frankfort resident. She was a homemaker and a member of the Boyleston Home Ec.Club as well as the Hope United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Richard Wayne (Janet) Trees of Kokomo, Indiana and Ronald K. (Susie) Trees of Frankfort, Indiana; a daughter, Sandra C. (Dr. Gordon) Cripe of Hartford City, Indiana; 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
