Of Scott City died Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She was born August 5, 1949 in Charter Oak, Missouri to Albert Franklin and Hazel June Tharp Baldwin. She married Robert Antone Backfisch on January 14, 1967. He preceded her in death on March 2, 2017.
She was a cashier at Wal Mart and was a member of Eisleben Lutheran Church in Scott City and the Scott City Library Club. She enjoyed being outdoors watching the seasons change on the farm and spending time with her granddaughters outside during their early years.
She is survived by two daughters, Tina (Rick) Lands of Benton and Gayla (Chris) Clayton of Scott City; two brothers, Robert (Cyndi) Baldwin of Scott City and Anthony Baldwin of Jackson and three grandchildren, Madison (Nick) Brindley, Hailey (Austin) Clayton and Chloe Clayton.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Donna Baldwin and Betty Wylde.
Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 pm on Thursday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 am at the chapel with Rev. Teresa Williams officiating.

Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
