A longtime resident of Silsbee he was a 1949 graduate of Silsbee High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. In 1957 he earned a B.S. degree from Lamar University. He then served as administrator of Silsbee Doctors Hospital for nineteen years and taught school in Silsbee and Kountze ISD's.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lona Mae (Smith) and Miles D Jordan Sr; sister Gladys Rogers and brother Miles D, Jordan, Jr.
Survivors include his wife of fifty five years Yvonne (Horn) Jordan, daughter Judy Rash and husband Gary, sons, Gregory Jordan and wife Michelle and Todd Jordan, grandchildren Jordan Rash, William Rash, Justin Jordan and Mallorie Jordan, twin brother Jack D. Jordan and wife Carol, sisters Zelma D. Bertram and husband O. H. (Buddy), Iola (Tommie) Jennusa, sister-in-law Mary L. Jordan and numerous nieces, nephews and a large extended family.
