Colleen was born in West Jordan, UT, April 12, 1934 to Lawrence "Tuff" William Fullmer and Mary Emma Iff. Colleen was the sister of the Fighting Fullmer brothers: Gene (Karen), Don (Nedra), and Jay (Marilyn), who will deeply miss her courageous example of endurance in the ring of life. Colleen's younger years were spent excelling in homemaking skills, gymnastics, dance, bowling, and working at Michael's Food Mart. She played the saxophone, accordion, and was a piano teacher for many years. As the effects of MS increased she continued to share her love for music by serving as the LDS Branch Chorister at the Sandy Regional Care Center until the time of her death. She enjoyed attending the LDS Temple, and being the SRCC Resident Council President for several years. She married her sweetheart, Gregory Hartley Tyson, Jr. May 20, 1952. Their union was blessed with four children who are eternally grateful for their mother's enduring faith, example of cheerfulness in spite of adversity, and constant service. Her surviving posterity are; Randy (Susan), Ron (Melanie), Sherie (Kerry Davis), Rick (Ruth) Tyson, 14 grandchildren and eight great-grand-children, as well as many dear family and friends. Colleen is enjoying a glorious reunion with her husband, parents, and grandsons (Auston and Brennon). Colleen's children wish to express their gratitude to all her extended family and friends for all the love you've shown throughout her difficult life. The family also wishes to thank her special friends and staff at SRCC who each took Colleen into their hearts, loved her, laughed and cried with her, respectfully cared for her physical needs, and shared that love and concern with us these past 12 years. We've especially enjoyed sharing your memories and tears this past month. It has truly been an honor knowing you.
