Billie Ruth Harvey, 78, of Fort Collins, Colo., died June 25, at the Hospice Care Center in Loveland, Colo.
Billie Ruth Ford was born Oct. 11, 1928, in Clovis, N. M., to Reece and Addie Ford. She grew up in Guymon, lived formerly in El Paso, Texas, Sedalia, Colo., and Colorado Springs prior to moving to Fort Collins in 1992. She attended Panhandle A. & M. in Oklahoma.
In the 1970s, Billie worked as the Deputy Treasurer for Douglas County in Castle Rock. In the 1980s, she worked as a bookkeeper for the Cheyenne Mountain Country Club in Colorado Springs. Since moving to Fort Collins, Billie has been a member of Meadowlark Church of Christ and she volunteered at the clothing bank there. She enjoyed quilting and cooking and doting on her granddaughters, who spent a lot of their childhood in her loving care.
Billie was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Lou Sauriol; her sister, Betty Addy, and both parents.
She is survived by her son, Chuck Harvey of Fort Collins; three granddaughters, Kerry Armstrong of Fort Collins, Katie Sauriol and Kendra Sauriol both of Greeley; her former husband, Fred Harvey of Hunt, Texas; her brother, J.D. Ford of Oklahoma City, Okla; her sister, Jo Marie Hutchinson of Guymon; and three great-grandchildren, Cody, Mary and Kyle.
Services were held Monday in Fort Collins.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations please be made to the Mountain States Children's Home or to the Silver Key Senior Services in care of Goes Funeral Care, 3665 Canal Dr., Fort Collins, CO 80524.
