Died at Fairfax Seminary General Hospital. The Union forces established the Fairfax Seminary Hospital at Alexandria, Virginia during the Civil War. There were two graveyards at the hospital, one about a hundred yards to the northeast of Aspinwall Hall, the other at the intersection of Quaker Lane and Seminary Road, where the rectory of Immanuel Church is today. All bodies were reported disinterred toward the end of the war and either sent home or moved to the Alexandria National Cemetery.
