Joe was born in New Castle, PA on Aug. 24, 1937 to James John and Margaret Alma (Wardman) Emig. He married Judy Ann Baughman on June 7, 1957 and they had three children. He and Judy loved to travel and lived for several years in the foothills of Wyoming's Big Horn Mountains before returning to Pennsylvania. His beloved Judy preceded him in death in 2012. Joe died at his home on April 24, 2020 and was buried beside Judy.
In addition to his parents and wife, Joe was preceded in death by his brother, Bill Emig (#114379362); his son, David Emig (#31177953); and his grandson, Paul Emig. His daughter and son and their spouses, four grandchildren, and his sister survived him.
