Hachtel died Friday, Feb. 25, 2005, in Denton.
Born March 13, 1919, to Jim and Pearl (Cowart) Ready in Sanger, she married Marvin Weldon Hachtel on Oct. 17, 1942. She worked for the United States Postal Service in Sanger for 18 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a sister, Ethelyn Amyx; and two brothers, Bobby J. Ready and Richard Ready.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Rippey and Carol Knightstep, both of Sanger; a sister, Peggy Crunk of Ivanhoe; a brother, James Ready of Sanger; three grandchildren, Donny Knightstep, Bill Jon Rippey and Jona Gillum and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Willie Keith Pate, Johnny Forrest, Bill Crunk, Kyle Amyx, Billy Ed Nance and Jim Rob Ready.
