FORT PIERCE - Robert A. Adams, 86, of Fort Pierce died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 1999, in Lawnwood Regional Medical Center.

A native of North Towanda, N.Y., he lived in Fort Pierce for 24 years. He moved here from Clarence Center, N.Y.

He was an engineer for Twinn Industries in Buffalo, N.Y.

He attended Indian River Presbyterian Church in Fort Pierce.

He was a member of Sandy Shoes Steppers of Fort Pierce.

His enjoyed woodworking and flying radio-controlled model airplanes.

Survivors include is wife, Velma R. "Sue'' Adams of Fort Pierce; a son, Gerald A. Adams of Fort Pierce; a daughter, Judy Sue Newman of Bliss, N.Y.; two brothers, Harold W. Adams of Battlecreek, Mich., and Charles R. Adams of Spokane, Wash.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A service was held Tuesday, Nov. 23, at Indian River Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Sam Rutland officiating.
