Funeral services for George McCarty Jr., former Green River resident who died Saturday in a Roseburg, Ore., hospital, were held Thursday at the Congregational church at 2 p.m. in Green River.
McCarty, a Union Pacific railroad employee during the time he lived in Green River, had been ill for several weeks before his death. His wife and two children came to Green River for the services from their home in Winchester, Ore.
