Graveside services for Rachel Eliza (Candy) Sims, 83, of Tulsa, OK, were held Monday, October 4, 2021, at Greenleaf Cemetery in Tahlequah, OK. Phillip Johnson officiated. Casket bearers were David Compton, Calvin Compton and Sethen Compton.

Rachel was born January 23, 1938, in Braggs, OK to Lewis Jack and Susie Ann (McClain) Candy. She passed away September 29, 2021, in Tulsa, OK.

Rachel worked for Phoenix Dry Cleaners with her sister as a pants presser. She was a very devoted Christian who enjoyed planting flowers, watching old westerns, and studying her bible. Rachel was a Sunday School teacher who taught every child around her about Jesus. The most important things in life to Rachel were her family and her faith in God.

She is survived by her daughter, Lucretia Compton and husband, David; granddaughters, Jennifer Compton and husband, Calvin, and Stephanie Henry' great-grandchildren, Sethen Compton, Kaylee Compton and Autumn Henry.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Susie Candy, brothers, George Candy, Trak Candy, Dean Candy, Bill Candy, James Candy, Floyd Candy and Lloyd Candy; and sister, Wanda Candy

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
