PORT ST. LUCIE - Kathryn V. Ahrens, 81, of Port St. Lucie died Saturday, March 7, 1998, in Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center.
A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., she lived in Port St. Lucie for 20 years. She moved here from Fort Lauderdale.
Before retirement, she was chief clerk and stenographer for the Fort Lauderdale Police Department.
She was a member of St. Lucie Catholic Church, Port St. Lucie.
She was predeceased by her husband, John Joseph Ahrens Sr., in 1994.
Survivors include two sons, James T. and Michael F. Ahrens, both of Fort Lauderdale; a daughter, Virginia Martin of Port St. Lucie; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. today at Yates Funeral Home, Port St. Lucie. A wake service will be at 7:30 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, at St. Lucie Catholic Church.
Burial will be in White City Cemetery.
