He was born Nov. 29, 1940 in Valley Stream, L.I., to the late Ethan and Martha Farrier Allen, Sr. Mr. Allen had attended Kingston High School; he then enlisted U.S. Marines, attaining the rank of corporal, having served primarily with the 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, based out of Camp Lejeune, N.C. He took part in the operation to liberate Lebanon. Mr. Allen had been employed by Mid Hudson Pam as a foreman for 30 years. He also owned and operated Ethan Allen Archery of Port Ewen for over 40 years. He loved golfing, hunting, fishing, archery and outdoor sports. He was a member of Kingston American Post # 150 and Joyce Schirick Post # 1386, VFW.
