Basil N. "Jack" Allman, 88, of Jane Lew went home to be with the Lord on October 6, 2021. He was in Jane Lew on January 23, 1933: the son of the late Basil E. Allman and Mildred O. Wyant Allman. In 1958, he married Deanna Gale Lohr Allman, who preceded him in death. Jack will forever be remembered by 5 children: Kimberly Joann Hefner, Sherry Lynn Allman, Kristy Kerwood, Lisa D. Bakas Holt and Greg N. Allman and 7 grandchildren: Jeremy N. Hefner, Chanda Kelley, R. J. Kerwood, Kassie Kerwood, Ashley Magers, Alexandra Holt and Greg Holt. He also had 8 siblings: Norma J. Allman Cayton, Janice V. Allman Stalnaker, Larry K. Allman, Sona J. Allman Dempsey, Joyce L. Allman Wiliams, Darrill Williams and Rebecca J. Allman Rollyson and several nieces and nephews. Jack worked mostly in coal and owned his own coal trucks. He also lived in Florida where he worked in landscaping. He loved fixing things, taking them apart to see how they work and putting them back together. He may have a few parts left over from time to time and tinkering was his God given talent. He was a member of McCann's Run United Methodist Church of Jane Lew and he loved his Lord. His passion was hunting, fishing, and watching westerns and his Mountaineers on TV. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Mt. Clare at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Allen Burnsworth officiating with interment following in the family section.
