Verna was the daughter of James Morton Hann and Roxie Jane Dudney.
She married on September 8, 1902, to Ben B. Hartsook.

Mrs. Ben Hartsook, a life-long resident of Madison county, died Tuesday, April 12, 1960, at Memorial hospital in Winterset. She was 75 years of age, and had been in failing health for about two years.
Mrs. Hartsook was the former Verna Hann, daughter of James and Jennie Hann. She was born here May 3, 1885.
She was married on Sept. 8, 1902, to Ben Hartsook. They spent most of their married life at their farm home in Lincoln township. They moved to Winterset two years ago.
She was a long-time member of the Christian Union church at Ord.
She leaves her husband; two sons, Curtis Hartsook of Omaha and Howard Hartsook of Van Nuys, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Roy Wolford and Mrs. Melvin Walrod, both of Omaha; five grandchildren; and a brother, Styles Hann of Winterset.
Funeral services will be held this Friday at 3 p.m. from the Winterset Christian church, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. Robert Owens. Burial will be made in the Winterset cemetery.
Verna was the daughter of James Morton Hann and Roxie Jane Dudney.
She married on September 8, 1902, to Ben B. Hartsook.
