SERVED WITH CO F 20TH MAINE INFANTRY DURING THE CIVIL WAR, KILLED AT GETTYSBURG.∼Civil War Union Army Soldier. He served during the Civil War as a Private in Company F, 20th Maine Volunteer Infantry. He was mortally wounded on July 2, 1863 at the Battle of Gettysburg, and died of those wounds on July 11, 1863.
