Dorothy "Dottie" C. Babcock, 93, of Monrovia, MD passed away Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Lorien Assisted Living, Mt. Airy. She was the beloved wife of Charles E. Babcock. Born October 9, 1921 in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late Charles H. and Ruth Naomi Hammond Creighton. Dottie attended Damascus Road Community Church. She loved to attend bible studies, volunteering for the church and gifting bibles. She was also a member of the VFW. She retired as an administrative officer for the Defense Mapping Agency at the Naval Oceanographic Office in Washington, DC. She is survived by her daughter, grandchildren. There will be a graveside service Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Donations may be made to the USO at www.uso.org.
