News was received yesterday by Major A. G. Brenizer of the death of his sister-in-law, Mrs. L. J. Perry of Atlanta, Ga., who resided for many years in Charlotte.

Mrs. Perry had been an invalid for a long time but her last illness developed only in the past few days and her death, which occurred yesterday morning, was a shock to her family and friends.

Mrs. Perry before her marriage was Julia Chase Gilmer, a daughter of John A. Gilmer, senior and Julia A. Gilmer of Greensboro, and was a grand-daughter of Rev. William Paisley, the first pastor of the first Presbyterian church of Greensboro. She was a sister of the late Mrs. A. G. Brenizer of this city and of the late Judge John A. Gilmer of Greensboro. During her residence in Charlotte Mrs. Perry was a loyal member of the Second Presbyterian church and since living in Atlanta has been a member of the North Avenue Presbyterian church. She is survived by her husband and an only son, Mr. William Gilmer Perry of Atlanta.

The funeral services will be held in Atlanta and the body brought to Charlotte and interred at Elmwood cemetery here Tuesday.
